Cach, LLC, a subsidiary of Square Two Financial (formerly known as Collect America), purchases debts in bulk from lenders and creditors at a very low cost (for example, Bank of America or FIA Card Services). This debt collection company has been known to fail to come up with sufficient documentation to prove their case, and allegedly obtaining default judgements in an illegal manner. They have been known to allegedly violate the Federal Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) by failing to provide validation of a debt when it had been properly requested, tacking on excessive interest rates, and making numerous threatening and harassing phone calls to consumers.
