The debt collector, Midland Credit Management uses a company called Midland Funding to purchase the debts, then, is hired by Midland Funding to collect the debts. Midland Credit Management attempts to collect debts by phone calls, letter and credit reporting. If those methods are not successful, Midland Funding files a lawsuit against the debtor. They have had complaints filed against them by consumers for harassing phone calls and threats, of calling at inappropriate times and places and other alleged Federal Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) violations.
